Learn from that mistake Fantasia. Mouth off some more and when one of
the judges gets pissed at you and mouths back at you, it'll sway
enough votes to get you packing.

She won't. Learn, that is. As good a performer as she is
(comparatively speaking), she is silly and crude when not singing. And
it's just a matter of time before she says something to Simon that
will permanently sway sentiment away from her. But, nevertheless,
there will be life for her after the contest. Someone will sign her,
and she'll get an R&B recording deal. And maybe in time, like Mary J.
Blige, she can be coached and polished so that she won't be a total
embarrassment offstage.

Not necessarily. Kimberley Locke recovered pretty well from her "I used to
think you were hot...you suck!" comment.

She's crude, period.

I mean, she sounds like razor blades and looks even worse and shoots
off her mouth.

I really think they need to put in a new rule for next season: mouth
off to the judges at the tryouts, and get sent off IMMEDIATELY.
That'll put a halt to the other stuff.

While I don't diagree with you I do feel, from the show's POV, that
kind of behavior adds to the show's entertainment value. Something
doesn't have to be good or positive to be entertaining. William Hung
comes to mind! Allowing him thru to the judges during auditions was a
brilliant ploy, imnsho! Hung has the whole nation talking about him and
AI!!! Anyway, entertainment value = larger audience = big sponsors =
big $$$ air time = BIG $$$ for the above-the-line people involved in
the production of the show! In it's simplest form, ratings = $$$. I'd
guess that AI will do what it takes to go for big ratings...and that'll
take a lot more than just a group of good singers. Could possibly be
why there are some bad singers in this group.

Just my 2 cents!...Sue

That makes me wonder...y'all think that all the contestants who try out
will have to sign contracts like Lisa L. (and all the 32/Hollywood
finalists) did that will prevent them from recording until whenever so
that a William Hung can't get away from AI's producers, or do you think
the producers are just fine with it? I imagine there is some second
guessing around the 19 office.

I doubt it. If 19 were to promote WH, they would be turning AI into the
Gong Show. I think they have the integrity of the franchise to think about
first.

The only people who seem to object are a few miscreants here....read
simon's book and you'll see that he approves of the contestants
standing up for themselves...she's done nothing on the level of what
that one girl did earlier actually interrupting Randy when he was
trying to give some constructive criticism.

'sent off immediatly'...puhleeze....this isn't soccer (football)

Nah. There's great entertainment in the contestants digging their own
holes. I mean, I really can't wait to see what happens when someone tells
Fantasia that she wasn't that great. Real drama, there.

I can't wait to see the sour persimmon postings here when she gets a
record contract and it goes Platinum.
